Bike to Work Week rides from May 11th to the 15th. The League of American Bicyclists has prepared a handy "Bike to Work Commuters' Handbook," with solid tips for getting yourself and your bike ready for a safe, clean and healthy bicycle commute. Don't wait until May 10th to check your tires, find your helmet and plan the route.

Pedaling Good Begins Its Ride

Numerous organizations and individuals around the world are promoting the bicycle as a means to a healthier, cleaner, more livable planet. Bikes are being recycled and sent to developing nations offering better access to markets, schools and healthcare for thousands of people. Cities are increasing bike lanes and public transportation groups are adding more bicycle accessible features. Individuals are volunteering to teach kids to repair bikes and entrepreneurs are experimenting with renewable materials for bikes.

On the eve of National Bicycle Month, Pedaling Good kicks up its kickstand and pulls out of the garage to chronicle the individuals and organizations that are using the bike to make a positive difference in the world.

We are pedaling good. What are you pedaling?
